چکیده مقاله
Patients with type 2 diabetes often struggle with adherence to treatment, and conventional methods centered on conscious intentions have demonstrated limited effectiveness in maintaining motivation for disease management Hence, there is a pressing need for interventions that target unconscious goal pursuit and sustain long term motivation Therefore, this study employed a single subject design with a two month follow up to evaluate the effectiveness of a priming based intervention in enhancing treatment adherence The intervention consisted of 30 daily sessions involving words, images, videos, music, and scrambled phrases as priming stimuli Three subjects participated in the intervention, with baseline, treatment, and follow up assessments comprising questionnaires and blood samples for A1C and LDL/HDL measurement Data analysis utilized visual interpretation and Cohen's effect size The priming based intervention package was validated using the Delphi method, and the results indicated significant improvements in treatment adherence for participants 2 d=0 81, 54 65% and 3 d=0 82, 55% , with a modest improvement observed for participant 1 d=0 69, 11 03% These improvements were sustained at the two month follow up In conclusion, the priming based intervention effectively enhances treatment adherence in patients with type 2 diabetes, fostering long lasting motivation for disease management Its advantages include affordability, online accessibility, engagement, and ease of implementation by healthcare professionals and nurses
