Recent researches show that channel assignment in Wireless Mesh Networks WMNs is a critical problem The purpose of this study is to present a channel assignment algorithm named FCCA, which partitions the networks into fair clusters and runs channel assignment algorithm in three steps, default channel assignment, inter and intra channel assignment The results show that a fair clustering method influences on reducing interference; therefore, the FCCA algorithm increases network performance
