Given the increasing popularity of open source software, much more attentions have been paid to its advantages and disadvantages The main advantage of open source software is that helps businesses to have more contributes on the market Companies using open source software can create an industry standard and thus gain competitive advantage The validity of this kind of software stems from thousands of independent programmers in order to test and fix software bugs However despite the widespread use of this software on the internet, yet many people are reluctant to use such software for Business based Internet for their future security aspects Issues such as the lack of detailed assessment and continuous validation of open source software by an integrated team and other issues cause such doubts In this paper, we discuss on security in open source software and specifically on the Linux platform as an open source software platform with broad application
