چکیده مقاله
In this research, the slitting method was employed to determine through thickness residual stress profile of a rolled aluminium plate The method involves measuring strains at the back surface of the stressed specimen, while a narrow slit is cut progressively from the top surface of the specimen Two computational approaches were used for the determination of residual stresses from measured strains, including series expansion and strip loads methods Results show excellent correspondence between these two methods and gives strong confidence in the applicability of each computational method
