چکیده مقاله
Purpose: Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the biomechanical effects of different knee flexion angles on the inter joint forces, specifically at the L5/S1 joint and knee joint, during squat lifting The study aimed to examine the influence of lumbar posture neutral or kyphotic and knee flexion angles 10°, 35°, and 70° on the shear and compression forces at these joints Squat lifting is a common exercise in strength training, yet improper form, particularly in terms of lumbar and knee posture, can lead to significant musculoskeletal injuries Understanding how varying angles of knee flexion and lumbar postures influence joint forces is crucial for injury prevention and optimizing lifting performance Methods: A total of X healthy male and female participants were recruited for the study They performed squat lifting exercises under three knee flexion conditions: FF 10° , SF 35° , and LF 70° , while monitoring the forces at the L5/S1 and knee joints The maximum inter joint forces, as well as time to peak TTP , were measured and analyzed using biomechanical software Statistical significance was determined using ANOVA and p values were calculated for each condition Results: Significant changes were observed in the L5/S1 joint shear forces, with a 37 2% increase in ML shear force from FF to LF p = 0 016 AP shear forces at the L5/S1 joint showed a 19 2% decrease from FF to LF p = 0 001 Compression forces in the L5/S1 joint decreased by 17 7% in the LF posture p = 0 004 For the knee joint, significant changes were observed in the ML shear force, with a 30 7% reduction from FF to LF p = 0 030 , and a 23 7% increase in AP shear force p = 0 001 The TTP for L5/S1 shear forces and compression forces was faster in the LF posture, indicating that deeper lumbar flexion accelerates the peak force Conclusion: The findings demonstrate that changes in knee flexion angles and lumbar spine postures significantly affect inter joint forces at both the L5/S1 and knee joints The results underscore the importance of maintaining proper spinal alignment and knee posture during squat lifting to minimize the risk of injury and optimize lifting performance Keywords: Squat lifting, Knee flexion angle, Biomechanics, Inter joint force, Lumbar posture
