This study delves into the strategic implementation of Key PerformanceIndicators KPIs in airline base maintenance, highlighting theirsignificant impact on enhancing operational efficiency, cost effectiveness,safety standards, and environmental sustainability Through acomprehensive analysis, including case studies and practical applications,the research showcases the transformative potential of KPI drivenstrategies across various dimensions of airline maintenance operations The findings reveal that adopting a strategic, data driven approach tomaintenance management not only improves aircraft availability andreliability but also ensures financial sustainability by reducingmaintenance costs and optimizing resource allocation Moreover, theemphasis on safety and compliance KPIs has proven essential in fosteringa safer maintenance environment and ensuring regulatory adherence Theintegration of sustainability focused KPIs reflects the aviation industry'sgrowing commitment to environmental responsibility, demonstrating therole of maintenance operations in achieving broader sustainability goals Based on the insights gained, recommendations are proposed to furtherenhance base maintenance operations through predictive maintenance,data quality and management, continuous improvement culture, crossfunctionalcollaboration, and global benchmarking This study provides acompelling case for the adoption of KPI driven strategies as a bestpractice in airline maintenance management, supporting long termoperational success and competitive differentiation in the aviationindustry
