The development of highly efficient and stable quantum dot solar cells QDSCs has emerged as a pivotal goal in advancing next generation photovoltaic technologies In this study, cadmium selenide CdSe quantum dots QDs are utilized to address key challenges in QDSCs, particularly low efficiency and limited operational stability A comprehensive synthesis and optimization process for CdSe QDs has been undertaken, focusing on tailoring their size and surface passivation to enhance charge carrier mobility and minimize recombination losses Novel strategies, including surface engineering and protective coatings, have been employed to improve the stability of the QDs under prolonged environmental stress The resulting CdSe based QDSCs demonstrated a significant increase in power conversion efficiency and stability compared to conventional designs These findings provide a solid foundation for further advancements in QDSC performance, positioning CdSe quantum dots as a promising candidate for sustainable and scalable solar energy solutions
