چکیده مقاله
The transfer of patients from accident scenes to medical centers constitutes one of the most fundamental actions within the cycle of Emergency Medical Services EMS and Search and Rescue SAR operations Fabric stretchers have been widely adopted in advanced emergency systems over recent decades as a viable alternative to rigid, metallic models In Iran, the ‘Behina’ company has designed and produced a fabric stretcher to meet domestic operational conditions and national rescue organizations' requirements Proper stretcher design plays a crucial role in preventing secondary injuries and ensuring safe patient transference Biomechanically optimized stretchers distribute pressure evenly, minimize torsional forces, and maintain neutral alignment of the spine and limbs during transport Ergonomic design features enhance the safety and efficiency of patient handling, particularly in emergency responses Fabric stretcher design innovations aim to prevent clinical complications, safeguard patient outcomes, and support healthcare professionals in delivering timely care Material selection and structural design significantly impact patient comfort and skin integrity Modern fabric stretchers must possess stabilizing supports to ensure patient stabilization, especially in critical conditions Adherence to modern design standards is essential to prevent secondary injuries, improve clinical outcomes, and support emergency medical services effectively Key features in modern stretcher design include low weight, collapsibility, high weight capacity, moisture resistance, and washability These features optimize operational efficiency, enhance emergency responders' experience, and contribute to superior patient outcomes
