چکیده مقاله
Rheumatoid arthritis is a systemic autoimmune disease characterized by an erroneous immune response against the synovial membrane lining the joints This attack induces inflammation and swelling, culminating in the progressive erosion of cartilage and bone This study investigates the lived benefits for patients utilizing two pharmacologically distinct agents: naproxen, an anti inflammatory, and methotrexate, a cornerstone disease modifying antirheumatic drug DMARD Through a five month, qualitative dominant analysis of 52 patients, we documented a clear dichotomy in therapeutic outcomes The naproxen cohort reported rapid, tangible liberation from pain and stiffness, reduced swelling and morning dryness, describing a restored ability to engage in daily life with minimal disruption Digestive problems were also reported in these patients Conversely, patients on methotrexate narrated a different outcome—one of gradual but foundational change Their primary benefit was a significant enhancement in joint mobility, physical function, and range of motion While naproxen offered a powerful echo of normalcy, methotrexate provided reduced pain and swelling Users of methotrexate reported that their range of motion and joint function improved significantly, and ultimately the progression of their disease slowed or stopped In conclusion, naproxen is not considered a disease modifying drug and is only used as a supplement for rapid relief of pain and stiffness in the joints However, methotrexate is much more effective and widely used than naproxen and has more effective and safe results in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis
