چکیده مقاله
Fouling represents a major challenge in membrane based separation processes, as it significantly reduces the overall efficiency of treatment systems One effective strategy to address this issue involves developing membranes with easy to clean surfaces In the present work, additive free polystyrene b poly N isopropyl acrylamide PS b PNIPAM block copolymer membranes were prepared via the self assembly and non solvent induced phase separation SNIPS technique in a straightforward manner Several key fabrication parameters—including polymer concentration, evaporation time, and the choice of solvent and non solvent—were systematically varied to produce nano and isoporous membrane structures The casting solution utilized only a single solvent, 1,4 dioxane, at relatively low polymer concentrations 15 wt% When water was employed as the non solvent, it yielded isoporous membranes These membranes exhibited a partially ordered surface morphology with uniformly distributed nanopores diameters in the nanometer range and lengths around 170 nm and high pore density ≈ 3 × 10 14 pores/m² , supported by a macroporous sublayer, leading to excellent membrane performance
