Integrating Artificial Intelligence into project management istransforming traditional practices by introducing advanced decisionmakingand risk management tools This paper explores the theoreticalfoundations of AI in project management, focusing on decision makingtheories, risk management frameworks, and the conceptualization of AIas a strategic partner in complex projects Key focus areas include theapplication of AI driven algorithms for decision optimization, predictiveanalytics for proactive risk mitigation, and the development of hybridmodels that align AI capabilities with established project managementmethodologies Through case studies and practical examples, the paperhighlights successful implementations of AI in diverse industries,demonstrating its potential to enhance efficiency, resource utilization,and risk assessment The study also examines the challenges ofintegrating AI into existing project management models, addressingissues such as bias, transparency, and compliance with industrystandards Finally, emerging opportunities, such as the role of AI inshaping Agile and Waterfall methodologies and leveraging newtechnologies, are discussed to outline future directions in the field Thispaper provides a comprehensive analysis of AI's transformative role inproject management, aiming to contribute to the development of robusttheoretical frameworks and practical approaches that facilitate theresponsible and effective integration of AI technologies
