چکیده مقاله
This paper explores how the future is represented in children’s and young adult science fiction literature, with a focus on technological advancement, artificial intelligence, environmental crises, and social disruption Drawing on posthumanist and eco social theories, particularly the works of Deleuze & Guattari and the hauntological approaches of Higgins, the study investigates how narratives convey implicit messages of either hope or caution The analysis incorporates open access educational resources and scholarly texts, identifying patterns in how global concerns—such as climate change, digital ethics, and ecological justice—are translated into accessible forms for younger audiences Through selected case studies, we argue that children's science fiction serves not only as entertainment but as a formative space where futures are imagined, contested, and potentially reconfigured This genre offers a pedagogical tool that may foster response ability and critical awareness among future generations
