Data is generated at a constantly increasing pace from various sources This high rate of data generation indicates the dawn of big data, in which careful consideration is required in different parts of the value chain The value chain of data contains generation, acquisition, storage, and analysis Each of these steps would require special attention and the usual technologies, methods and tools would not be useful As a result, in this paper we will discuss the related technologies, infrastructure requirements, and also the challenges that we face in case of big data Finally, a summarize of the challenges in both big data and cloud computing, that are closely related, is given The aim of this paper is to provide a broad and deep understanding of big data in order to present better solutions for various issues
