چکیده مقاله
In this paper, we have studied Gowdy equations, which introduce a class of vacuum spacetimes with a twodimensional group of isometries At first, we have found the symmetry group of the Gowdy equations Secondly, byusing the symmetry group, the exact solutions which are invariant under the subalgebras of the symmetry Liealgebra were derived Also we have constructed the optimal system of one dimensional Lie subalgebras At last,some particular group invariant solutions that are associated with the obtained symmetries will be examined
