thousand of waste tires are left in empty yards and even dumped illegally Environmental problems of scrap tires are one of the most important issues for development countries Different techniques are available to stabilize the unstable slopes such as using tire shreds mixed of these materials as reinforcement with soil is used in static and pseudo static analyzes waste tire shreds increases shear strength of soil and its shear parameters in the foundation of the slope the weak and strong layers are modeled in two different forms to investigate the effects of weak layer on safety factor of stability
