A new test method for measurement of railway track response has been established A Falling weight impacts the rail and the track response is acquired by series of LVDTs and geophones This paper describes the procedure for development of field testing including the finite element modeling and trials to test set up The repeatability of this testing technique is examined by successive drops and different load levels The aim of the research is to assess the track substructure from the acquired deflection basin by this falling weight testing technique
