Emerging epidemiological evidence have shown that Cannabis use are becoming popular among pregnant women and its prevalence is escalating steadily changing cannabis legislation, ambiguous research findings, softening social attitudes about consequences and benefits such as mixed recommendations from healthcare providers related to the safety of cannabis use while pregnant, might influence pregnant mothers’ decision making regarding cannabis use Prior reports have shown that the real prevalence of pregnancy using marijuana is likely underreported in studies The Prevalence of pregnant women using cannabis is highest among younger women, and with lower levels of household income and education, and in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy, an important trimester, when the fetus is most affected by teratogens in addition to socioeconomic factors, anxiety and trauma diagnoses also plays an important role in patterns of using marijuana in pregnancy
