With the expansion of digital health technologies, traditional methods of delivering midwifery care have also changed. Telemidwifery, a form of telemedicine, allows midwives to connect with pregnant mothers and provide necessary care without the need for physical presence through video calls, health apps, messaging systems, and online databases. During crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of this type of service has become more apparent than ever. This article reviews the scientific evidence on the impact of this new approach on improving maternity care
