Large Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma LCNEC is a rare and aggressive lung cancer subtype with a poor prognosis This article provides a comprehensive overview of LCNEC, encompassing its epidemiology, pathology, molecular characteristics, treatment options, and patient management The complex interplay of signaling pathways, including TrkB/BDNF, Hedgehog, and EGFR, within LCNEC tumorigenesis is explored The article emphasizes the importance of early detection, given the low survival rates, and highlights the evolving landscape of treatment options, such as immunotherapy and targeted therapies The need for continued research into LCNEC is underscored to improve patient outcomes
