Under uni axial stress, a finite element analysis of the temperature dependentmechanical behavior of Poly methyl methacrylate PMMA was carried out attemperatures of 20℃, 40℃, 60 ℃, and 80 ℃,which are well below its glass transitionpoint which is 108 ℃ This research was complemented and validated by simulationsdone by previous papers aiming at determining material characteristics for a PMMAdumbbell specimen with well defined dimensions The mechanical behavior of PMMAwas dramatically impacted by temperature, with quasi brittle fracture at ambienttemperature and super plastic behavior above 80 degrees
