چکیده مقاله
World oil demand is projected to increase more than 40% by 2030 which ismainly from Asian countries like China and India, where transportationindustries are rapidly expanding Transportation accounts for almost 20% of theworld’s energy consumption and more than 50% of the consumption of liquidfuels In the year 2030, the transportation sector alone will consume the sameamount of liquid fuel as that consumed by all sectors in 2003; this factnecessitates development of the travel demand modelling based on fuelconsumption Consequently the purpose of this research is to investigate theimpact of fuel consumption patterns on travel demand estimation This paperevaluates and calibrates travel demand estimation and its relation to fuelconsumption by CUBE software for the city of Shiraz, with use of data whichwas provided by Sharif University for the centre of Fars province, Iran in 1999 This research proves that the basic role and model relationships fits well withvehicle fuel use CNG, LNG, Gasoil, and Gasoline and generating trips byexogenous and endogenous variables We use this model to explore the effect ofenergy consumption patterns on generation and distribution stage of traveldemand modelling based on inverse ability
