چکیده مقاله
Children road safety are getting to be more and more important during the lastdecades, because a major part of road casualties consists of children fatalities Therefore, two main approaches in this followed in this research work arechildren risk behavior and drivers' abilities on visibility During the recent years,some educational and practical programs have been implemented alongside therural roads in the Islamic republic of Iran to improve children safety The aboveprograms consist of training courses, physical measures and disseminatingeducational notes In order to evaluate the efficiency of implementing the abovemethods, the annual training programs have been studied on improving childrensafety The above methodology, which is designed regarding to cultural andconstructive measures, has been proposed to improve the abilities of students onhazard recognition and drivers' visibility A before and after study has been doneto evaluate the advantages of training programs based on two measures includingchildren fatalities and knowledge scores Results revealed that annual educationprograms have significant effects on children safety The number of fatalities hasbeen decreased from 4721 to 757 between 2005 and 2011 by a rate of 84 percentin seven years
