چکیده مقاله
Rapid growth of vehicle ownership and use of private vehicles has created transportation problems for developed countries in the second half of the 20th century; the main problems are congestion and increased traffic volume as signs of inefficiency of the existing transportation system Tehran as one of 10 largest cities around the world not exempted from these conditions, so adequate and effective measures shall be taken to eliminate or to alleviate the problems as implemented by developed countries since 1990 This paper will present an introductory about World experiences in transportation and traffic management at first, then tries to evaluate the current condition of Tehran mobility in terms of sustainable mobility and finally propose a set of measures or actions in order to fully implementation of transportation master plan and achievement to Sustainable Mobility The overall results show that, city of Tehran is not in good conditions, moreover is not well equipped to cope with the challenges ahead
