Stress can be defined as excessive worry due to a difficult issue or situation Experiencing stress for children puts their mental health at risk A large number of children are exposed to stress from the very first years of life The factors causing stress in children can be measured with checklists and observations, but the examination of this variable includes many individual and environmental layers Stress in children can cause many problems such as aggression and depression Children who are stressed have negative thoughts and worry about going to school Some behavioral signs of child stress include: difficulty sleeping, nail biting, loss of appetite, and prolonged crying Anxious children have lower grades in academic and aptitude tests Factors causing stress in children should be systematically investigated To reduce the child's stress, the systemic cooperation of him, parents, school teachers and counselors is necessary Teaching many skills such as problem solving at home and at school can help reduce children's stress by increasing self esteem
