چکیده مقاله
The purpose of this study was to examine how storytelling influences the levels of shyness and aggression in primary school girls We used a quasi experimental design with pre test and post test measures and a control group We assessed shyness and aggression with Rutter’s Questionnaire of Behavioral Disorders Teacher’s Form 1967 and Samui’s shyness questionnaire 2012 , respectively The participants were 30 eight year old girls from District 2 of Karaj, Iran, in the academic year 2021 2022, who scored high on both questionnaires We randomly assigned them to either the experimental group n = 15 or the control group n = 15 The experimental group received ten sessions of storytelling intervention, while the control group did not receive any treatment The teachers of both groups completed the questionnaires before and after the intervention We analyzed the data using ANCOVA and found that storytelling had a positive effect on reducing shyness and aggression in primary school girls
