The integration of Artificial Intelligence AI and the Internet of Things IoT has led to the development of the Artificial Intelligence of Things AIoT , a framework enabling smart systems capable of autonomous decision making and real time response This study aims to explore major technical advances and deployments in AIoT between 2023 and 2025 Relying on a structured review of peer reviewed literature and industry use cases, the research focuses on the enhancement of IoT capabilities through AI driven learning and automation Methodologically, this review synthesizes documented case studies, empirical data, and journal articles to examine AIoT’s role across key sectors including agriculture, healthcare, industrial automation, aquaculture, and smart cities The study investigates how AI based models applied to real time sensor networks improve performance in anomaly detection, energy optimization, and predictive control Key findings reveal that AIoT systems significantly enhance efficiency and sustainability in connected environments For example, in agriculture, AIoT increased crop yields and water use efficiency; in healthcare, it enabled early detection of health anomalies through wearable monitoring; and in manufacturing, it led to reduced downtime and better resource utilization The enabling technologies include edge computing, generative AI, and 5G connectivity, which together provide the responsiveness and scalability required for modern AIoT ecosystems
