This study presents a comprehensive numerical investigation and multi parameter optimization of a proton Exchange Membrane Fuel cell PEMFC to enhance its electrochemical performance While most studies focus on isolated variables, this research employs a systematic sensitivity analysis to evaluate the synergistic effects of operating pressure, humidification levels, and reactant stoichiometry on the polarization curve A validated three dimensional model is utilized to simulate the complex transport phenomena within the cell The optimization results indicate that a precise calibration of the membrane water content, combined with optimized pressure gradients, can lead to a ۱۲ ۵% increase in maximum power density compared to base case conditions Furthermore, the sensitivity analysis reveals that the cathode stoichiometry is the most influential factor in high current density regions these findings provide critical design guidelines for improving the energy efficiency and thermal management of PEMFC systems in automotive applications
