چکیده مقاله
Introduction: Plyometric training is a type of exercise that is designed to produce fast and powerful movements and improve nervous system function, ultimately aimed at enhancing performance in sports Plyometrics are used to increase the speed or force of muscle contractions, and Taekwondo is no exception Executing specialized skills in taekwondo requires unique physical abilities, including strength, reaction speed, balance, flexibility, full body coordination, and proprioception Maintaining stability and balance in Taekwondo requires proper proprioception, which is fundamental to this discipline Proprioception provides awareness of joint movement and regulates muscle contraction to facilitate movement and stabilize joints Therefore, integrating plyometric training with Taekwondo practice may enhance performance in elite female Taekwondo athletes The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of 8 week plyometric training on proprioception of knee and ankle joints in female taekwondo players Method: The research method is the 16 elite female Taekwondo players aged 14 to 24 were selected and randomly divided into two groups of exercise and control Plyometric training group along with Taekwondo exercises were performed for 8 weeks and 3 sessions per week While the control group continued its Taekwondo training The angle reconstruction error test was done before and after 8 weeks Results: The results of the study showed that in the plyometric group, the knee and ankle plantar flexion and dorsiflexion angle reconstruction error P=0 032 , P=0 001 , P=0 000 were significantly reduced Conclusion: In fact, the combination of Taekwondo and plyometric training can have a positive effect on proprioception in the knee and ankle joints of Taekwondo players, which can prevent injury Keywords: Plyometric training, Taekwondo, proprioception, Female, Elite
