چکیده مقاله
The relationship between hamstring shortening, self efficacy, and fear of falling in older adults is a critical area of study in geriatric health This review explores the physiological and psychological impacts of hamstring shortening, emphasizing its role in reducing physical function and increasing the fear of falling A comprehensive literature review was conducted, analyzing various interventions aimed at improving hamstring flexibility and strength among older adults Findings indicate that hamstring shortening significantly correlates with decreased self efficacy and heightened fear of falling, creating a detrimental cycle that limits mobility and independence Interventions such as stretching exercises, strength training, and balance training have shown promise in mitigating these effects by enhancing physical capabilities and boosting confidence The results suggest that improving hamstring flexibility not only facilitates better physical function but also positively influences psychological well being, thereby reducing the fear of falling In conclusion, addressing hamstring shortening through targeted exercise programs is essential for promoting overall health and quality of life in older adults A holistic approach that combines physical and psychological strategies is recommended to empower this population, fostering greater independence and resilience against falls Future research should focus on long term outcomes of these interventions to ensure their effectiveness and accessibility for older individuals
