چکیده مقاله
As time progresses and the global population increases, the demand for power plants in all countries escalates A critical consideration in the establishment of various power plants is the assessment of pollutant emissions This paper aims to determine the optimal sizes of four different virtual power plants VPPs , each composed of various power plant units The three primary objectives of this optimization problem are to minimize pollutant emissions, minimize fuel costs, and maintain power balance within the grid Minimizing fuel costs is important because reducing these costs corresponds to a decreased reliance on less fuel efficient power plants, which ultimately leads to lower environmental pollution Two scenarios are considered in this study: in the first scenario, the objective is to minimize pollutant emissions; in the second scenario, both pollutant emissions and fuel costs are minimized Based on these two scenarios, the optimal size of each VPP is determined Power balance is taken into account in all optimization problems addressed The results indicate that, in the second scenario, the number of power plant units responsible for pollutant emissions is reduced, contributing to a further decrease in overall emissions It is anticipated that the establishment of VPPs in various countries will increase significantly in the near future Examining these optimization issues can provide valuable insights
