چکیده مقاله

This study aimed to examine the impact of using preferred foods on enhancing adaptability to life changes in children with autism spectrum disorder This study was conducted using a review method A comprehensive search was performed in the PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases using keywords related to autism spectrum, preferred foods, and adaptability to life changes Articles published between 2000 and 2024 were included in this review Study type and population data were examined, background factors were discussed, and the main findings were extracted and analyzed Ultimately, five key factors influencing using preferred foods to enhance adaptability to life changes in children with ASD were identified These included the child's sensory characteristics, dietary diversity and flexibility, the role of parents and caregivers, the eating environment, and social impacts and family interactions
