As urbanization rates continue to increase worldwide, cities are facing a wide range of problems, the most critical of which is air pollution Urban areas are likely to be the source of numerous pollutants due to severe traffic congestion, industrial activities, and the absence of vegetation Among all these problems, air pollution is a critical public health problem and environmental issue The inclusion of green space in urban planning not only makes cities look beautiful, but also plays a vital role in the fight against air pollution Green urban design is a green and sustainable approach to fighting such environmental problems and enhancing the quality of life in cities The principles of green urban design and how it can fight air pollution effectively are discussed in this review article Conclusion: Through the adoption of green urban architecture principles, cities can transform the manner in which they manage air pollution to the benefit of people and the planet
