چکیده مقاله
The transition toward sustainable architecture is a fundamental aspect of global efforts to mitigate climate change, enhance energy efficiency, and reduce the environmental footprint of the built environment Germany has emerged as a frontrunner in this domain, implementing stringent energy efficiency policies, the Passivhaus standard, renewable energy integration, and smart building technologies to achieve carbon neutrality in the construction sector However, other European countries, such as Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, and France, have also developed innovative approaches tailored to their specific climatic, economic, and urban contexts This study provides a comparative analysis of Germany’s sustainable architecture model with those of selected European nations, focusing on four key dimensions: environmental policies and regulatory frameworks, technological advancements in energy efficient construction, sustainable urban regeneration strategies, and economic and social challenges in large scale implementation The research explores how Germany’s highly regulated approach, which prioritizes energy positive buildings, advanced insulation techniques, and the integration of renewable energy sources, compares with Scandinavian countries’ emphasis on circular economy principles, Denmark’s focus on low carbon construction materials, and the Netherlands’ adaptive urban planning for climate resilience Moreover, the study examines the economic feasibility of these models, the role of government incentives and private sector participation, and the impact of cultural perceptions on the acceptance and scalability of sustainable architecture practices By evaluating these diverse methodologies, this research aims to identify best practices, key challenges, and potential synergies among different European sustainability strategies The findings contribute to the broader discourse on developing a comprehensive, adaptable framework for sustainable architecture that can be implemented on a global scale, particularly in the context of rapidly urbanizing regions and climate vulnerable cities
