چکیده مقاله
Climate change, primarily driven by the unprecedented increase in greenhouse gas GHG emissions from human activities, is recognized as the most pressing environmental challenge of our time This article provides a comprehensive examination of the environmental impacts of climate change resulting from increased greenhouse gases Scientific evidence clearly indicates that rising concentrations of gases like CO2 and CH4 in the atmosphere have led to global warming and widespread transformations in natural systems IPCC, 2021 The consequences of this phenomenon include rising global temperatures, melting glaciers and ice sheets, sea level rise, and the intensification of extreme climate events such as droughts, floods, and heatwaves Pörtner et al , 2022 These transformations directly affect biodiversity, altering migration patterns and habitats, and increasing the risk of species extinction Parmesan, 2006 Furthermore, climate change exerts pressure on freshwater resources, food security, and the sustainability of essential ecosystem services crucial for human well being Wheeler & von Braun, 2013 Despite significant advancements in understanding this phenomenon, important research gaps remain concerning accurate regional predictions, understanding multiple interacting pressures, quantitative assessment of ecosystem services, and the effectiveness of nature based solutions
