چکیده مقاله
Advanced signal processing techniques particularly the Continuous Wavelet Transform CWT have revolutionized seismic data analysis and played a crucial role in accurately delineating hydrocarbon reservoirs In this study, synthetic data from the Marmousi model were utilized to apply CWT using the Morlet wavelet Energy maps were generated across various time scale domains to isolate dominant reflection events Subsequently, the arrival times of wavelets were used to model subsurface reflector depths via d= Tv 2, and acoustic impedances were computed using Z= ρv Assuming an average velocity of 3000 m/s and layer densities of 2100, 2200, and 2300 kg/m³, three major reflections were identified at arrival times of 1 2, 1 8, and 2 5 seconds, corresponding to depths of 1800 m, 2700 m, and 3750 m, respectively The resulting impedance values 6 3, 6 6, and 6 9 million kg/m²·s revealed meaningful interlayer contrasts that delineated reservoir and cap rock boundaries The findings demonstrate that CWT, combined with fundamental physical modeling, provides a robust framework for extracting quantitative and qualitative subsurface insights without reliance on visual plots
