چکیده مقاله
Despite the presence of women in the public sphere in Iran and the development of their capabilities over the past three decades, no vital position has been constructed for them yet On the other hand, recognizing their motivations could help them to achieve the proper position in social life Therefore, by the help of architecture studies, the following question can be raised: Could repurposing a historic mansion located at one of the social hubs of Tehran into a center for women’s empowerment contribute to their agency Considering that the case study mansion is attributed to an influential woman of Qajar era, would this process play a role in revitalizing the history of women’s social influence designing an inspiring home could enable women to experience a sense of motivation, and such a space could give them a sense of empowerment and help them move closer to their appropriate social position by symbolizing the power of women Accordingly, this research focuses on the Anis al Dawlah Mansion as a historical building that was in a woman’s possession during the Qajar era 1850 70 and employs a mixed method comprised of Survey research, Participatory description, historical analysis, community engagement, and statistical evaluation Also, the main objective of the study is to renovate Anis al Dawla Mansion and convert it into a motivational home for ladies for motivational purposes
