چکیده مقاله
Purpose: The problem of asphaltene deposition remains one of the major challenges in the oil industry, while it causes blockages both in reservoir pores and crude oil transportation pipelines The current study is conducted to discuss the relevant factors affecting asphaltene deposition, its disadvantages and challenges, and preventive methods that were practiced Emphasizing these issues, the underlying research calls for the development of efficient methods aimed at the management of asphaltene precipitation in oil production systems Methods: An overall review was made, highlighting what actually affects asphaltene deposition, its detrimental effects on oil production, and the techniques that have been in use to try to avoid it Also presented are some of the emerging technologies being evaluated, such as ultrasonic waves and ionic liquids for asphaltene control Results: The review lists the most important factors influencing asphaltene deposition and describes multiple approaches to control its effects, considering even innovative technologies such as ultrasonic waves and ionic liquids It also discusses practical applications of these findings in the management of oil production Conclusion: The findings highlight that effective asphaltene deposition control holds the key to improving oil production efficiency and reducing blockages in pipelines Future research should be done in optimizing emerging technologies for efficient management of asphaltene challenges in oil production
