Metaverse, as the next generation of the Internet, has opened new frontiers in human interactions by combining the physical and digital worlds This emerging technology has the potential to create a profound revolution in educational systems This article examines the nature of the metaverse, its diverse applications in the teaching learning process, and its impact on the roles of teachers and students with an analytical approach The results show that the metaverse can address many of the shortcomings of traditional and even current digital education by creating immersive, personalized, and interactive learning environments
