چکیده مقاله
Overhead crane wheels operate under cyclic loading, making fatigue the dominant failure mechanism This study investigates the influence of cylindrical slotted holes added to the wheel wall on static stress distribution and fatigue life A 60 ton crane wheel was modeled using FEM to evaluate stress, deformation, and static safety factors while varying hole diameters from 10 to 70 mm Fatigue assessment was then carried out using the Dang Van criterion with load time series inputs The results show that hole creation increases stress and reduces fatigue safety factors, with yielding occurring near 50 mm Considering static and fatigue requirements, an optimal hole diameter of 33 mm is identified, providing a 9 8% reduction in material usage while maintaining acceptable performance
