In Iran, cosmetic surgery is an increasingly common procedure and is quite expensive The purpose of this study was to compare the satisfaction with one's body image, self esteem, and quality of life of individuals who had cosmetic surgery versus those who refuse to undergo cosmetic surgery This study used a comparative analytic approach employed a casual comparative design containing the sample size for this study was 140, based on the study's objectives and methodology where simple random sampling was used to select 70 participants who reported having cosmetic surgery 16 men, 54 women, mean age = 26 47 years, SD = 5 26 years and 70 participants who reported not having cosmetic surgery 16 men, 54 women, mean age = 27 19 years, SD = 6 09 years The 12 Item Short Form Health Survey, the Multidimensional Body Self Relations Questionnaire, and the Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale were used as research instruments, and the Multivariate analysis of variance MANOVA was used to analyze the collected data The results indicated a significant difference in body image satisfaction, self esteem, and quality of life between individuals who underwent cosmetic surgery and those who did not P
