چکیده مقاله
Menopause is a natural stage in a woman’s life characterized by a decline in sex hormones and the emergence of symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, mood disturbances, sleep disorders, and decreased bone density These conditions can significantly impact women’s quality of life Given the limitations and side effects of pharmacological treatments, there has been growing interest in nutritional interventions, including dairy consumption, as a non pharmacological approach This review aims to evaluate the existing evidence on the role of dairy intake in alleviating or managing menopausal disorders A structured search was conducted in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Embase, and Google Scholar for articles published between 2010 and 2025 A total of 40 unique studies, including randomized clinical trials, observational studies, and systematic reviews, were analyzed Findings indicate that regular consumption of dairy products—especially those rich in calcium, vitamin D, and probiotics—may effectively reduce vasomotor symptoms, improve mood, enhance sleep quality, and prevent osteoporosis Additionally, some studies highlight the role of fermented dairy products in reducing anxiety and depressive symptoms Overall, dairy products as part of a healthy diet can be beneficial in the non pharmacological management of menopausal symptoms, and the findings of this review may provide a foundation for clinical recommendations and women’s health policy development
