In an increasingly interconnected world, proficiency in the English language is essential for academic success, career advancement, and intercultural communication Among the four core language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—writing is often regarded as the most cognitively demanding, as it requires not only fluency but also a strong command of grammar and accuracy Writing accuracy, defined as the ability to produce error free texts in accordance with linguistic norms, plays a vital role in effective written communication At the same time, individual learner differences—particularly personality traits such as extroversion and introversion—have been shown to influence second language acquisition Extroverts, typically outgoing and expressive, may approach writing with spontaneity, whereas introverts, known for being reflective and detail oriented, may excel in tasks requiring precision and structure This study investigates the impact of these personality traits on writing accuracy among English as a Foreign Language EFL learners Thirty female undergraduate students aged 22 to 25 from the Resalat Campus of Farhangian University in Zahedan participated in the study Their personality types were identified using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator MBTI , and their writing accuracy was assessed through an argumentative writing task Statistical analysis of pretest and posttest scores, conducted using SPSS software version 27 , revealed that introverted learners significantly outperformed their extroverted peers in writing accuracy Introverts not only achieved higher mean scores but also demonstrated more consistent performance, as indicated by narrower score ranges and lower standard deviations These findings suggest that personality traits—particularly introversion—may contribute positively to learners’ grammatical accuracy and sentence construction in writing The results highlight the importance of considering personality factors in language education and support the use of tailored instructional strategies to address individual learner profiles
