The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationshipbetween EFL learners' self regulation SR and willingness tocommunicate WTC To this end, 520 male and female EFL learners,ranging between 19 and 34 years old Medium age = 22 , majoring inEnglish Translation, English Language Teaching and English Literature atIslamic Azad University, Fars Province, were randomly selected Theywere given two questionnaires: Self Regulation Questionnaire devised byBrown, Miller, and Lawendowski 1999 and Willingness toCommunicate Scale devised by McCroskey and Baer In this study SR isoperationally defined as the scores candidates obtained on the Englishversion of the Self Regulation Questionnaire SRQ Scale It wasdeveloped by Brown, Miller, and Lawendowsk
