Liu et al in 2 obtained blow up results for a viscoelastic Petrovskey wave equation at arbitrary high initial energy by considering some assumptions on initial data In this article, we obtain nite time blow up under more weak assumptions on the initial data To this end we use a technical di erential inequality by Korpusov 1
