Let R be a commutative Noetherian ring and let I J be ideals of R such that cd J;R = 1, it is shown that for every R module M and each prime ideal p 2 V J we have j p;HiI M = 0 and j p;Hi I M = 0, for all i ⩾ 2 and j ⩾ 0
