The interaction between cytochrome c Cyt c and green synthesized y Fe2O3@SiO2 magnetic nanoparticles MNPs was investigated using UV Vis absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy Fluorescence quenching analyses revealed a static mechanism with ground state complex formation Thermodynamic parameters negative AG°, positive AH° and AS° indicated that the binding is spontaneous and mainly driven by hydrophobic forces Importantly, the nanoparticles bound to Cyt c without significantly altering its secondary structure, highlighting the preservation of protein integrity These results provide valuable insights into the potential effects of NPs on protein function and support their safe application in biomedical fields such as drug delivery
