چکیده مقاله
Collaboration has become an important paradigm in supply chain management SCM Nowadays,many supply chains apply this paradigm to improve competency performance in the business field Akey issue in supply chain collaboration is to develop appropriate coordination mechanisms that canalign the objectives of independent members and coordinate their decisions and activities so as tooptimize system performance Although many studies have been carried on coordination advantages and the effect of Information Technology IT in the process of coordination, there are little efforts regarding developing mechanisms from a strategic view as well as considering the effect of environmental factors on mechanisms performance Information Technology is known as a strong enabler to achieve collaboration in either direction from upstream layers to suppliers, or downstream layers to end users in different ways, but the most important issue to make an effective collaboration is to apply an appropriate coordination mechanism Coordination mechanisms consist of a set of methods which are used to manage interdependency between partners within a supply chain Furthermore, there are obvious environmental differences between the developing countries like Iran and other developed countries with respect to cultural, managerial, industrial and business atmosphere These differences imply that the operational mechanisms used in developed countries may not bedirectly prescribed for the developing countries and need some modifications In this paper, we develop a coordination mechanism in a strategic framework It works by aligning all members’ collaboration perspective, strategic goals, coordinating their activities and level of trust and data sharing It can be used by managers to mitigate the problems that arise when they plan to coordinate in a collaborative manner in developing countries Our proposed mechanism has offered a practical way to improve the management of supply chains We did our research on one of the most important supply chains in Iran known as: Fuel which has been performed in Shiraz University of Iran, during 2009 2010
