This study aims to conduct a scientometric analysis of research on the bullwhip effect in supply chains Data were retrieved from the Scopus database on July 13, 2025, using relevant keywords, limited to English language journal articles in related subject areas After removing duplicates, 503 documents were analyzed using Excel, R bibliometrix package , and VOSviewer Findings show that publications on the bullwhip effect have grown steadily since 1997, with notable peaks in recent years, particularly following disruptions such as the COVID 19 pandemic The United States and China lead in both publication volume and citations, while authors like Disney S M and Cannella S are the most prolific Keyword co occurrence analysis reveals a thematic shift from operational and modeling approaches toward sustainability, resilience, and advanced supply chain practices This study provides a comprehensive overview of global research trends, influential contributors, and emerging topics, offering valuable insights for guiding future studies and practical applications
