چکیده مقاله
This narrative review examines the potential of drones, or unmanned aerial vehicles UAVs , to enhance healthcare service delivery during disasters and emergencies Drawing from a selection of recent literature published between 2020 and 2025, the review addresses the main research question: How can drones be utilized to enhance the delivery of healthcare services during disasters and emergencies The analysis follows the IMRAD structure, synthesizing evidence from key studies on drone applications in mapping, search and rescue, transportation of medical supplies, and training Findings indicate that drones offer significant advantages in reducing response times, minimizing risks to human responders, and improving logistical efficiency in challenging environments However, challenges such as regulatory barriers, technical limitations, and integration with existing systems persist The review concludes with recommendations for future research and policy development to optimize drone integration in disaster and crisis management
