چکیده مقاله
Stuttering is a common speech difficulty in childhood and may negatively affect a child’s communication, emotions, and social interactions The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of a mental–cognitive simulation–based therapy in reducing the severity of stuttering in children aged 4 to 12 years The study was conducted using a quasi experimental pretest–posttest design with a single group Participants included 40 children who were referred to a speech therapy clinic and received therapeutic intervention Stuttering severity was measured before and after the intervention using a standardized stuttering severity scale The intervention was implemented based on the mental–cognitive simulation approach proposed by Dr Mohammad Ehsan Taghizadeh Results showed a clear and statistically significant decrease in stuttering severity following the intervention p < 0 001 The effect size indicated that the treatment had a strong impact on reducing stuttering severity Overall, the findings suggest that mental–cognitive simulation–based therapy can be a practical and effective approach for improving speech fluency in children who stutter
